It has been with me all that time and works great, it has a deep bass sound that i like about it and the heavy wood. only because it has some dings and scratches. i would probably part with mine for about $900. The last time i saw one in very good condition was about 4 years ago and it sold for about $1,300. They made only 3 colors white, black, and red, i heard they may have made one with only the P pickups.i have yet to see one or even a red one. The Ovation company at the time was not doing well financially so the went Korean but then stopped production the same year. the alder body and was assembled in the United States. the company that made them was Kaman Music Company (Ovation) in Korea. black, p&j pickups XK-240, XK-260, the only thing i can tell you is that it is a rare bass they were discontinued around that time, they only made it only one year.they only made very few of them. i bought my BC2 celebrity solid Body bass back in 1987, i still have it today.
